Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish Headline 68th Grammy Awards Winners

The 68th annual Grammy Awards celebrated the past year in music on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2026, filling Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena with artists spanning pop, hip-hop, country and Latin genres. During the three-hour telecast and an earlier ceremony, the Recording Academy named winners in more than 90 categories, with the largest spotlight on the four general-field awards.

Billie Eilish secured song of the year for “Wildflower,” while Kendrick Lamar and SZA earned record of the year with “luther.” British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean took home best new artist, and Bad Bunny’s Spanish-language project “DeBI TiRAR MaS FOToS” captured album of the year.

Entering the night, Kendrick Lamar led all nominees with nine nods, followed by Lady Gaga, producer Cirkut and producer Jack Antonoff with seven each. Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas and mix engineer Serban Ghenea also figured prominently on the shortlists announced last November.

Notable moments and future changes

The ceremony included a milestone for director Steven Spielberg, who earned his first Grammy and completed the EGOT quartet of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony honors. In another off-stage headline, the Recording Academy confirmed that, beginning with the 69th edition in 2027, the Grammys will be simulcast live on ABC, Hulu and Disney+. The agreement extends the awards show’s reach across broadcast and streaming, aligning with a broader shift in U.S. television distribution. Additional details on the partnership can be found on the Recording Academy’s official site.

Sunday’s show closed with Bad Bunny performing a medley from his winning album, capping a night that underscored the global breadth of contemporary music and highlighted accomplishments in production, engineering and songwriting alongside the marquee categories.
