NEW YORK — ABC News has added a new segment to its streaming lineup that focuses on Russian public opinion regarding the war in Ukraine. The piece, titled “ABC News talks to Russians about Ukraine war,” appears on ABC News Live alongside a broad mix of live feeds, breaking-news updates and long-form specials currently available through the network’s digital platforms.
The Russia-focused video is part of a continuously updated carousel that now features live coverage of U.S. political events, real-time financial data and severe-weather tracking. Among the live elements airing in tandem with the on-demand package are:
- An address by former President Donald Trump on prescription-drug pricing.
- A real-time display of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
- National storm monitoring that highlights rain, gusty winds and an elevated fire risk in portions of the Rocky Mountains, as well as rain and mountain snow throughout the western United States.
- A fixed camera feed of the New York City skyline.
The on-demand portion of the feed features dozens of short reports produced over the past several hours. Notable entries include a 4-minute-56-second breakdown of what investigators know about a Brown University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology shooting suspect, a 1-minute-51-second update on South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem’s decision to suspend a visa program, and a 2-minute-37-second look at how a technology company assisted authorities in locating the same suspect.
